CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS
4-year anniversary celebration for the residents of the SOAR Transitional Center, Gyumri. A new updated plaque was unveiled.
Christmas celebration for SOAR volunteers and staff in Armenia!
Healthy Lifestyle classes for the residents of the SOAR Transitional Center, Gyumri.
This initiative aimed to promote physical well-being, improve overall health, and support the holistic recovery of our residents.
The primary objective of the Healthy Lifestyle program was to integrate physical fitness routines and wellness activities into the rehabilitation process.
A rehabilitation specialist, who was invited from Gyumri Rehabilitation Center, worked to create individualized exercise plans tailored to the specific needs and abilities of each resident. These plans incorporated a mix of cardiovascular exercises, strength training, flexibility exercises, and balance activities.
A gynecologist, Liana Gevorgyan, was invited to discuss hygiene practices and provide information on sexual development, aiming to empower the young girls with knowledge and foster a healthy attitude towards their evolving reproductive health.
These classes will continue through until the end of the year.

MAY
Medical scrubs for the workers at Sisters of Charity Orphanage funded by the Harold and Josephine Gulamerian Armenian Orphan Fund.
SOAR purchased hearing aids for Marianna Jambrazyan. She has a rare condition that requires specialized and expensive hearing aids.
APRIL
The SOAR Mobile Eye Care Van visited SOS Village Kotayk and gave screenings and exams to 174 patients (104 children and 70 adults).
The grand opening of the new computer lab at Nakashian Children’s Support Center.
Easter Celebrations
Celebration at the Center for Families of Fallen Soldiers.
The Art Therapy Project continues at SOS (Idjevan and Kotayk) with puppetry, pottery, and sand therapy for the children living in the villages. The pottery class was able to take an excursion to “Mane Tiles” handmade mosaic and ceramic tile workshop to learn about the details of the production process.
Monthly bread stipend for Prkutyun Day Center funded by the Harold and Josephine Gulamerian Armenian Orphan Fund.
Wedding gifts for Diana Avetisyan, a graduate from Artsakh Boarding School.
Portable X-ray machine for the SOAR Dental Clinic funded by the Harold and Josephine Gulamerian Armenian Orphan Fund.
MARCH
The Mobile Eye Care Van visited Prkutyun and served 80 patients. 32 patients received new glasses!
Renovations at Children’s Home of Gyumri 9th Department, funded by SOAR New York and the Harold and Josephine Gulamerian Armenian Orphan Fund.
New laptops for the young ladies at both SOAR Transitional Centers, Gyumri and Yerevan, funded by SOAR Chicago! The young ladies have begun computer classes as well.
