Artsakh Family of Fallen Soldier Davit Dolukhanyan

Family information

Davit gave his life on 11/6/2020 while serving during the 44-day war. He left behind his wife, Gayane, and his two daughters: Eva (DOB 10/31/2013), and Yana (DOB 3/21/2016).

The family had been living in Stepanakert but were forced to leave their home and everything behind on September 25, 2023. Davit is buried in Artsakh. They are currently living in Yerevan in a one-room hostel with no source of income along with Gayane’s mother and brother.

Armen gave his life on 10/21/2020 while serving during the 44-day war. He left behind his wife, Marine, and his two sons: Sergey (DOB 11/30/2007), and Sasun (DOB 1/17/2011).

The family had been living in Martakert but were forced to leave their home and everything behind on September 26, 2023. Armen is buried in Artsakh. They are currently living in Yerevan in a rented apartment but have no source of income. Marine is a nurse and hopes to find employment.

Artsakh Family of Ninel Galstyan

Ninel and her three children (Milena-DOB 6/18/2011, Tigran-DOB 8/18/2018, and Gor-DOB 4/9/2022) were forcibly removed from their home in Stepanakert. Her husband went to get fuel for their car so they could use it to leave, but there was an accident and he never returned home. His body was found and confirmed recently with DNA testing. It has had a huge psychological impact on the family.

The family was living with her husband’s sister and their family when they first arrived in Armenia, but because of poor living conditions, they moved to the “Mother and Child” shelter of “SOS Children’s Villages” Armenian Charity Foundation.

Ninel has additional struggles as her son Tigran has a skin condition, ichthyosis, and a congenital heart defect.

Artsakh Family of Fallen Soldier Vardan Gevorgyan

Vardan gave his life on November 5, 2020, while serving in the 44 Day War. He leaves behind his wife, Irina, his son Marat (DOB 9/16/2006), and his daughter, Yana (DOB 9/26/2008).

The family was forcibly removed from their home in Artsakh leaving everything they owned behind. The family has an apartment in Yerevan. Marat is continuing his education in Yerevan studying programming and found a job at the FLASH Petrol Company.

Artsakh Family of Davit Grigoryan

The family was forced to leave their home and everything they owned behind in Artsakh. Davit’s father, Ararat, was able to bring documents and his driver’s license, but they had to leave their car behind. His mother, Svetlana, was a manicurist, but had to leave without her business tools. The family has a temporary apartment to live in, but they have no source of income.

Davit has been diagnosed with a developmental delay due to a very large vitamin deficiency. More medical examinations are needed to determine the cause.

Artsakh Family of Emilia Hovasafyan

Emilia and her family relocated to Gyumri from Sushi after the 2020 Artsakh War. The father had to go to Russia to try and find work. The mother is unemployed but trying to find work.

The family consists of Emilia’s mother Ellada, Emilia (DOB 9/28/2009), and the younger sister Anastasia (DOB 6/1/2015). The family is living in very poor conditions.

Artsakh Family of Zarine Movsisyan

Zarine was forced to leave Artsakh, her home, and all her belongings behind September of 2023. Her oldest son, Davit Sargsyan, gave his life during the 2020 Artsakh War.

Currently Zarine is living at a hostel in Yerevan with the rest of her family: Her son Arthur (DOB 4/26/1993) who has suffered with a psychological disability since the war, her son Aren (DOB 10/22/1995), who is married and has a 1-year-old son, and her son Levon (DOB 10/0/2010). Zarine has been a single mother since her divorce in 2013. She had been working as a childcare provider.

Artsakh family of Radik Sargsyan

Radik and his family were forcibly removed from their home in Artsakh, losing everything they owned. His wife, Tatevik, was nine months pregnant at the time. Tatevik gave birth to her son, Vilen on October 4th. Radik and Tatevik also have two daughters: Larisa (DOB 6/5/2010), and Natalia (DOB 10/19/2012). The family is currently living in a rented apartment in Gyumri, but they have no source of income.

Sargis’s mother works as a dishwasher at the children’s school cafeteria and his father is unemployed. Sargis has been diagnosed with a CNS developmental defect, combined dysgraphia, spina bifida-low spinal cord attachment syndrome. Because of this he needs to wear a diaper all day.

The family lives in very poor conditions. There is no indoor bathroom which makes Sargis’s care even more difficult.

Artsakh Family of Arthur Ulikhanov

There are nine people in the family: Father-Mikael, Mother-Naira, Grandmother-Eleanor, and six children-Davit born on January 6, 2011, 12 years old, Arthur born on December 3, 2014, 9 years old, Pyotr born on March 20, 2017, 6 years old, Srbuhi born on September 24, 2018, 5 years old, Artyom born on August 14, 2020, 3 years old, and Arayik born on September 30, 2021, 2 years old.

Arthur was born three months early and was diagnosed with Wolf Hirschhorn disease. He just started walking two years ago and still is unable to speak, just uttering sounds. He was taking speech therapy, and is in need of surgery, but the family was forced to leave Artsakh, leaving their home and everything they owned behind. Arthur is now attending the Ada Keshishyants Day Center for Disabled Children.

Mikael is an artist and sculptor. The family has no current means of income and Mikael needs supplies to be able to begin supporting his family.

They are currently living in a home with two floors, but the first floor is not adapted for living. On the second floor there are 2 rooms and a small kitchen attached to the living room. There is no water in the house and the neighbor provides the home with electricity.

Artsakh Family of Gagik Zargaryan

Gagik was a contract soldier in Artsakh. The family was forcibly removed from their home September 2023. His wife Narine had just opened her own business, a beauty salon, in 2022 and has now lost everything.

Gagik and Narine have two children: their son Hovhannes (DOB 4/4/2021), and their daughter Milena (DOB 5/5/2015). The family is currently living in a rented apartment in the village of Bazum.
