Hovhannes Bejanyan
Family of Hovhannes Bejanyan

Family information

The family was displaced from their home in Artsakh September 2023 losing their private house and their own livestock farm.

After being deported to Armenia, the grandmother, who was ill with cancer, passed away. The family currently lives in Vanadzor. With state funds they received for forcibly displaced families, they purchased a home. The house has 4 rooms, partially renovated. The utilities are sufficient, including a heating system, but the cost of heating is expensive, so the family is planning to heat the house with a wood stove in the winter. At the moment, they have a problem with acquiring firewood.

There are three children in the family, Manvel (DOB 5/20/2011), Boris (DOB 7/31/2013), and Artyom (DOB 7/11/2024). Boris has a developmental disorder, including mental and psychological challenges and is non-verbal. He is under the supervision of the ADA center. In June 2025 Boris underwent a Personal Functional Assessment, which determined that he has a severe functional limitation of 71%, primarily due to mental health issues.
